MEET CHEF ROLAND

Originally from Budapest, Hungary, Chef Roland Olah came to America just over 14 years ago having won a Green Card in the lottery. Walking away from a successful career in Hungary to start fresh, he knew he had to try it or else always look back wondering WHAT IF.

Chef Roland attended culinary school in Hungary at 14 years old. After years of perfecting his skillset in the kitchen, he went on to receive a Masters Degree, and can proudly say he is a classically French trained chef.

On arrival to the US, Chef Olah spent a year under the tutelage of Daniel Boulud in New York City. He then decided to put his roots down in CT, and from 2011, was Executive Chef at Martel in Fairfield CT, before becoming Chef Partner at Bruxelles in South Norwalk CT, for over three years. Prior to Martel, whilst in Budapest, Olah was Executive Chef at the famous Café Erté.

Having over 20 years of schooling, training and learning on the job, he brings a top tier talent to the kitchen. For Chef Roland, food is his passion in life, and everything he cooks comes from the heart. He treats every guest and every client as family sitting at his own kitchen table. If you had the honor of eating in any of his establishments, this feeling was reflected greatly by his committed team of staff and the many regulars, guests, and friends you were seated beside.
